Terms of Service

Last updated: October 15, 2026

1. Overview

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of software products and services provided by FilmSound.ai ("we", "our", "us"). By purchasing or using our products, you agree to these Terms.

2. Products and Licenses

FilmSound.ai sells desktop software applications as one-time purchases. Each purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable license to use the software on up to 2 (two) devices. The license is perpetual and includes all future updates at no extra cost. If you obtained the software from the Mac App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.

3. Free Trial

We offer free trial versions of our products with limited functionality, so that you can test the software on your own projects, applications and plug-ins before purchasing. No payment is required to use the trial. By purchasing, you confirm that you have had the opportunity to evaluate whether the software meets your needs.

4. Payments

Payments are processed by our payment provider, who acts as the Merchant of Record. All prices are listed in USD. Applicable taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax) are calculated and collected by the payment provider based on your location.

5. Refund Policy

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee from the date of purchase. If you are not satisfied with the product, contact us at [email protected] within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. Since a free trial is available, we encourage you to test the software before purchasing. Refunds for purchases made through the Mac App Store are handled by Apple under its own policies.

6. Intellectual Property

All software, content, and materials provided by FilmSound.ai are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or distribute our software or any part thereof.

7. Trademarks

Pro Tools is a trademark of Avid Technology, Inc.; REAPER is a trademark of Cockos Incorporated; Cubase and Nuendo are trademarks of Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH. All other trademarks belong to their respective owners. FilmSound.ai is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by any of these companies. Their names are used only to describe compatibility.

8. Session Conversion and Third-Party Software

Interchanger converts projects between digital audio workstations (DAWs) developed by third parties. These applications use different, largely undocumented and frequently changing file formats, and they do not all support the same features. As a result:

  • some data may be converted approximately, simplified, or not converted at all — for example plug-in states, automation, routing, fades or other settings that have no equivalent in the target application;
  • results may differ between versions of the same DAW, operating systems and plug-ins;
  • it is not possible to test the software against every project, configuration or combination of plug-ins in existence.

A converted project is a starting point that you must check before relying on it for production, delivery or archiving. You remain solely responsible for verifying the result and for keeping your original project files and backups. We recommend always working on copies.

9. Pre-release Versions

Beta and release-candidate versions (including the current Windows version) are provided for evaluation and may contain more errors than final releases. They may be unsigned, and your operating system may show security warnings when installing them.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The software is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the software will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that it will produce a correct or complete result for every project.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FilmSound.ai shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, projects, profits, revenue, business, production time, deadlines or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with the use of, or inability to use, the software or any converted project, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you actually paid for the product.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including liability for intent, gross negligence, or death or personal injury, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

12. Support

We provide support and fixes on a reasonable-efforts basis and do not guarantee response or resolution times. Bug reports with example projects help us improve conversion for everyone.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of our products constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

15. Contact
